Axon AI

Context
Public safety is drowning in data. More than 240 million 911 calls are placed in the U.S. every year, while body-worn cameras and millions of CCTV cameras generate footage by the millions of hours. Officers spend up to 40% of their time on reports alone. Axon’s answer is what it calls the intelligence revolution for public safety: AI built into every layer of its ecosystem, from Draft One writing reports and AI speeding Evidence review and redaction, to Fleet 3 ALPR, drone as first responder, Axon Vision and Axon 911. But AI spread across that many products creates its own problem. Without one clear visual signal, intelligence becomes invisible, or worse, inconsistent.

Approach
The challenge was to create a universal design language that signals artificial intelligence across every Axon product, without breaking the brand that customers already trust. We built an AI identity that feels both fresh and instantly familiar, extending Axon’s established system while pushing into new creative territory. Axon Yellow became the unmistakable cue for intelligence: wherever AI is working, yellow leads. The system was built around Axon’s three AI pillars (Amplified, Actionable and Accountable Intelligence), so every visual choice reinforced the same promise: AI that makes officers faster while keeping humans firmly in the loop. Deconstructed interface compositions pulled key capabilities out of the product and put them center stage, showing what the AI actually does instead of describing it. Art direction and lead design from Vicarel Studios and Blake Ingolia shaped the system, Clint McFarlin carried it into web and interface, and motion from Ben Gillespie brought the intelligence to life on screen. The result balances cohesion and clarity, making AI feel intuitive, trusted and undeniably Axon.

Branding

One signal. Every product.

A design language is only as strong as its rules. We turned the AI identity into a system any team could apply with confidence: when yellow leads, how interfaces get deconstructed, how type and iconography flag intelligence without shouting. The system had to stretch from a single feature callout to a full product suite, and from a body camera screen to a 40-foot keynote wall. Guidelines and templates put it in the hands of product marketing, sales and partners, so AI looked like Axon everywhere it showed up, even when design wasn’t in the room.

Event Activation

Where AI met the people who use it.

IACP is where Axon shows the industry what’s next, and in 2025 that meant AI. In Scottsdale, the AI identity moved off the screen and into the room: multiple booth graphics, demo zones, environmental graphics and way-finding all spoke the same visual language as the product. Live demos of Axon Vision, Axon Assistant and Axon 911 sat inside a branded experience that made the technology feel tangible and, above all, trustworthy. Attendees saw the intelligence revolution in person, not just in a press release.

Includes: Multiple booth graphics, LED content, demo zones, environmental graphics, way-finding, signage, sponsor and partner spaces

Axon AI Era Plan

Budget certainty meets limitless innovation.

The AI Era Plan bundles Axon’s current and future AI tools, from Draft One and Axon Assistant to Axon Vision and Axon Guardian, into one fixed annual cost. Selling a plan is harder than selling a product: it has to make a growing, constantly changing suite feel simple, valuable and future-proof. We built the plan’s look around the same AI system, giving every tool a consistent showcase while letting the plan itself read as the umbrella. The message was built for chiefs and budget holders as much as for officers: more time on the street, less time on paperwork, and no surprises at renewal.

Includes: Plan positioning and messaging, product page design, sales enablement, one-pagers and decks, tool feature callouts, launch campaign

Video & Motion Graphics

Intelligence, in motion.

AI is invisible until you show it working. Motion from Bubba’s LA and Ben Gillespie made the intelligence visible: interfaces breaking apart and rebuilding, yellow tracing the moment AI steps in, and capabilities playing out in real time instead of being explained in voiceover. A reusable motion toolkit kept launch films, keynote content, product demos and social cutdowns consistent, so every Axon AI story moved the same way, from a 6-second social clip to the main stage at Axon Week.

Includes: Launch films, keynote and LED motion, animated product demos, motion toolkit, social cutdowns, sizzle reel

Digital Activation

The intelligence revolution, online.

axon.com/ai became the front door for the entire AI suite. It’s built around Axon’s three pillars and real proof from the field: Fort Collins PD cutting report time by nearly 70%, and Rowlett PD estimating 65 to 75% time savings on transcripts. Clint McFarlin carried the system into web and interface, with deconstructed UI compositions that let visitors see each tool at work before they ever request a demo. Email, paid social and launch campaigns drove agencies from announcement to evaluation, all speaking in one voice.

Includes: axon.com/ai, AI Era Plan product page, web design and interface, email campaigns, paid and organic social, launch landing pages
